I have one dianedarrow. I have a few educators I follow because of the links they post. It is a great place to exchange links, I have no interest in the "I am at the airport" posts, but have found some good links

I have an account but don't use it any longer. I just couldn't feel connected frequently enough to pursue Twittering with any passion. I tried it so I'd know what it was all about, but it was an admittedly feeble effort. I think Twitterers should be able to commit to regular twits and I just couldn't do it! I think it's very cool for the people who are into it, however.

One of the interesting things about twitter is that users each take different things from it. Some are more into following others and finding links, others are more into spreading their own words and getting followers. Some think it's important to keep a good balance, and give as much as you take.
It takes time to discover what is the formula that works for you and what I have discovered is that everything goes.
I follow people who report interesting events, news and links to new tech sites.
I follow a few who offer more social reports - people who are a part of the community of entrepreneurs in Israel. It enhances the feel of a community.
What I offer is sometimes links and news, sometimes re-tweets of other interesting things I got from other twitterers, I also share twits from my life, weather thoughts or simple where-I-am - what-I-do sort of twits, which I consider more of a social communications.
It's like in this clip - "So, what's up? What are you doing?"

icarmichael will get to me on twitter eventually (2 tweets in 18 months gives some idea of the importance twitter has for me, so far. Although, I just found a couple of useful links, so maybe it'll grow on me)

I have been on twitter for about two years as masterymaze. I have just set up another account to use with my high school students and their parents in September. I will tweet daily updates to my students and their parents who follow. We shall see how it goes.
