I'm grateful to my colleagues from around the state for their efforts in creating Cultures of Thinking and making students Thinking Visible. I'm excited to deeply engage here in this forum.

Hello Michigan Cultures of Thinking group--

Once you're here you can start a discussion of any kind you'd like (click "start discussion") or you can leave a comment on the "comment wall").

There are plenty of other things you can do, too, and you'll get used to it over time. Think: "Oh--I'm getting used to the kind of communication technology that students know, or will be learning and using. " "Oh--I can be one of the people who is actively learning about use of technology for growth and connections." Be unafraid to try things... just jump in and "do stuff." That's really what it takes.

Suggestions: Browse around the larger website a bit when you get a chance (outside this group). Click the "main" tab at the top of the page. . Read some forums ("discussions") of interest to you. You can leave some notes with your reactions, ideas. If you'd like to browse by categories or keyword, click on the forum tab on the top of the page and you're cookin'.

Remember, what you post here is viewable by anyone. Think of having conversations within the pages of a magazine (an ongoing, slow-motion-conversation interactive magazine) that anyone can look at--and members of this network can join in on. If you want to have a space for private planning sessions for grant work or some other project, I can create that whenever you want.
