Fireside Learning: Conversations about Education

Buried in a footnote on the 'wall' below is a ref to FairTest.org, The National Center for Fair & Open Testing.

I'm not sure how I got backed into being a defender of federally sponsored testing--I don't believe in it for the long term--yet here it seems I have fallen into such a role.

What do you think of the work of FairTest.org? Are they too biased? Their "Fact Sheet", “No Child Left Behind” After Six Years: An Escalating Track Record of Failure certainly doesn't bode much for academic impartiality.

Or is it good enough that they are there to spur discussion?

Can their ideas help fix the tests for your kids in your state?
