This section of Fireside has already paid off big-time for me. I've let students browse through the issues to choose their Problem-based Learning activities, and to get ideas for more.

Can't say enough about the power of this form of learning. Students simply love it.

Please post interesting problems here, problems that are complex and filled with variables...

using this space to collect nature news, also complex problems that can be explored in problem-based-learning activities, project-based-learning activities.

April,
This could also be run on CR2.0 (with 20,000 participants); that way a big net would be spread.

Is anyone out there building green/non-toxic/sustainable schools or implementing green educational programs? Who's supporting these efforts? Any successes? Lessons learned?
