Couldn't resist passing along this story from NPR on a great experiment that kids of all ages can understand and appreciate. Great online multimedia presentation kids and adults would both enjoy: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyI...

Hello April!
How's Florida? Thanks for the use of your house for highspeed on Wednesday. It was a great conference.
Did you end up posting the question on Classroom 2.0? That would be the place it could reach the most people.
Recently I asked Catherine's partner to contact you (via gmail) regarding what he knows about green design--that's his expertise, and he may know something about schools. Also, you should contact Miriam Landman about green design, also her expertise. Both Catherine and Miriam are on the network. Do you know Miriam?
Ok, that's all for now...
Aren't the spring peepers great?

You forgot to mention that we've traded roles: you used to be my student, now I'm yours! I'm very grateful indeed. One of my favorite recent lessons was on the chemistry of bees. Google Analytics is interesting, too, but the chemistry of bees was utterly awesome.
You should put up a forum sometime about teaching physical skills: horse riding in particular. Physical skills in correspondence with working with animals' psychology: human and horse!
So glad you're part of Fireside, April.
