I am a Technology Resource Teacher (AKA "ITRT" in Virginia) and took the plunge to teach all six fourth grade classes how to make videos in Movie Maker. We found out:
--we had NO discipline or management issues

- I have been in education for 23 years: 20 as a classroom teacher and three as a technology resource teacher. I've had great opportunities to lead seminars and teach in China: this has shown me that teachers are the same the world over!

Just back from knee surgery, huh? That is a big deal. What kind did you have? (I went through the whole torn ACL, surgery, 10 month rehab process. Is yours ACL?)
Oh--just went to your website and saw the post you put up today about the surgery experience. You learned a lot!
So did I. I learned the most from the re-hab experience: 2 hours, 3 times a week, 10 months. It was the only time in my life I've ever been "compliant." Wanted to put everything I had into healing.
So this is a welcome and a get-well-soon greeting! I know what it's like and am cheering you on. Heal!
