Cristina, How is your fall going?
I feel like a cyclone has been spinning around me since August. Just this week I think things are settling down -- or I'm just used to the chaos. How are you classes going? Are you trying anything new in your teaching this fall?

Hello Christina!

I just had a chat with Christian who told me he had such a wonderful time at PZ working with you. How is life in Virginia? I just read here on FL that you are a mentor for another teacher. Is there a specific mentoring program in your school? Does it mean that you do not teach French at all?

Cheers,
Suzanne

Hi Christina!
So glad you joined Fireside Learning. You're an important addition to this learning community. Please share often: ideas you're thinking about, discoveries in class about what makes things go well, questions for people to ponder, education news that catches your interest. Or just zany stuff--you and I seem to have that sense of the zany in common! (At least in class...)
Let's see if we can get John (Harrigan) to start participating... We can double-team him. I know he'd have some good youtube videos to put up. Leave a note on his wall (by typing in his name under members), ok? Peer pressure, at its best!
I'd love to hear what you enjoy cooking and baking. For me, that's therapy, hanging out in the kitchen with some big project. Best of all is listening to The Splendid Table at the same time! I just put up 42 jars of pesto, after coming back from Cambridge.
I need a recommendation for a novel, too, if you get a chance!
Anyhow, welcome, so glad we'll have this way to be connected with each other, and with a wider educational community.
Feedback on the site is welcome and valued, by the way.
