I was based in a rural town, working from the main Jr High, I did bi-monthly visits in every classroom in the town: 5 elementary schools, 2 preschools and the middle school.

I was an 'America Reads' tutor in college for a couple years. That's where I got interested in literacy and how people learn to code and decode.

Doug, welcome!
Love the videos you've posted.
Your Freegan community is living and learning in radically countercultural ways. And the activities of and conversations with the kids at PS188's "tech cafe" should leave no room for ignorance on our or anyone's part of their self-interested motivations and creativity in learning to produce their own digital media when given the opportunity to do so.
Please continue to tell/show us what matters to you about kids learning and development. Thanks for joining our community of learners (many of whom are "old people," as one youngster on the PS188 video put it)!
