Tell about your involvement in education, and your ideals for collegial sharing: I am an elementary teacher trying to figure out the world of blogging, wikis and social networking. I am especially interested in encouraging technology use in classrooms where students have limited access to computers and internet in their homes. I believe that an encouraging, interested and supportive community, wherever we find it, brings us happiness, and profound learning can occur.

About Me:: I have been married to a man from Vietnam for 28 years, and we have three children, mostly grown. In my "second adulthood", I want to develop into the best educator I can be.

It will get you silly again, plus, I thought I'd use it in class this week. I teach in a mostly white, poor community. However, we are a vacation spot, so money filters in. My kids need to understand how an education is the ticket to a more fulfilling life. They also don't get out of the valley much, so...globalization? What's that? Howard talked a lot about globalization and "glocalization" (think globally; act locally). Tou sound interested in many things that interest me, like being the best teacher you can be and becoming more tech savvy...
