- Tell about your involvement in education, and your ideals for collegial sharing
- I am a 7th & 8th grade teacher in a small rural school in Maine, USA. I use a project based learning approach with my students that is infused with technology. Grades 7 & 8 in the State of Maine are all 1:1 with Apple iBooks. This past fall I was honored to be named the Association of Computer and Technology Educators of Maine's (ACTEM) Educator of the Year Runner Up.
In addition to blogging on Seedlings at http://bitbybitseedlings.ning.com/profile/ErnieEaster I administer the Maine Holocaust Education Network Ning, a site my students and I put together last spring. Our purpose is: "We are a group of educators and students sharing and collaborating with each other in order to understand the Holocaust and work towards preventing future holocausts, genocides, and other human rights atrocities."
