I strongly believe in the power of the TfU framework in order to promote understanding, collaborative teamwork and professional development.
About Me:
I have been a coach for the L@titud network since 2002 and, for WIDE World, I have been an online coach since 2003. I teach TfU and Leadership for Understanding (LfU) courses to high school teachers and college professors from several Latin American countries.
In addition, I teach and conduct research at the national University of Buenos Aires. I teach graduate level courses on Curriculum and Teaching and Sociology of Education. I am also a faculty member of the Center for Training and Research in Science Teaching, at the School of Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires. I am interested in TfU's impact on the practice of beginning teachers. My research focuses on how science teachers learn the TfU framework and how they identify this framework’s contributions to their teaching and professional development.
I enjoy tackling new challenges. I am a fast learner and a good problem solver. I consider myself enthusiastic, committed, creative, and friendly.

Javier --
I regret not finding time to talk with you at PZC...our interests are much the same. I too am interested in the impact of TfU on the practice of beginning teachers. The teachers I work with, however, are prospective teachers-- they are in their classes at the undergraduate level still learning how to teach as they begin by tutoring one child at a time in reading. I am also just as interested in how my own use of Artful Thinking and my teaching of it impacts their practice.

I am putting together my syllabi this week and look forward to reading your comments on posts here as I think....

Hi Javier,

I, too, am interested in the TFU framework. We teach so many things in 3rd grade. We have a ton of workbooks, which I am not particularily fond of. But I'm looking forward to bringing what I learned at PZ to my classroom. Have a great day!
