- Tell about your involvement in education, and your ideals for collegial sharing
- I am a sixth grade teacher and the technology liaison for the Western Massachusetts Writing Project. My philosophy around education is that collaboration can bring out the best in people, as we and our students draw on our strengths in partnerships. The emergence of the Web World has made collaborations even more important and the sharing of resources and talent among teachers is a wonderful development.

Thinking about the Day in a Sentence activity (which is amazing). Today I heard on NPR a newspiece about "hearing a smile," an actual research study on whether people can "hear" that facial expression.
So I wondered if maybe there'd be a way to "write a smile," the facial expression, in just a few words. (Probably some others could very well--and I'd like to hear them--but I'm a bit worried about how to do this myself!)
Just an idea.
