Hi Linda,

Yea!! You're here! Now we can have some ongoing sharing of thoughts. It'll be great to hear some of your ideas... your struggles and successes in bringing along the next great batch of teachers into the world... your questions. Let us know what you're learning.

Join the Harvard Project Zero "group," ok? That will make it easy for people to find you.

Let me know how you're experiencing this professional network, how it is like and unlike the many professional development experiences you have. Feedback is constantly welcome, and valued.

Glad to have you on Fireside!

Hi, Linda, Welcome to Fireside!

So glad to see a representative from a charter school here! They are the devil, you know. -- Actually, I was amazed to find this satement just now on the NEA website:
"NEA believes that charter schools and other nontraditional public school options have the potential to facilitate education reforms and develop new and creative teaching methods that can be replicated in traditional public schools for the benefit of all children."
Of course, the statement goes on to say that they really believe that charters should be few and rare, and should be hamstrung with all the regulations that thwart their public school neighbors---but, hey, they're not calling for your job!!
OK, a long introduction, but very glad to see your perspective come aboard here. Hope you fill find much to learn and get excited about!

And we envy your beaches!
