Thanks, Ellen. I agree about potential compatibility. When you talk about narration, do you mean voice over? We're new to this. Actually, I'd much rather people would download the Powerpoint versions and walk through them others, talking and argui...

Connie, I called and read your comments about the video background music to my brother. He laughed, said he'd crank up the keyboard and take another shot at it, and told me about an obscure Hungarian composer who wrote almost nothing except one pi...

I invite you to visit, then click on the link to "Investigating Systems" at the bottom of the screen. It's a course of study for adolescents and older students I'm offering. Free. No strings attached.

I see there's discussion here of "Cover the Material, Or Think." If you've time, you might also check out "A Seamless Curriculum," the "II" Powerpoint, and my most recent additions to "Journal Articles."

Hi Marion,
Great commentary in Edweek (Be Careful What You Wish For)--
If you'd like to add some comments on my discussion of your article here on Fireside, it'd be wonderful.

Hi Marion,
Are you following our discussion of your recent edweek article, No Dog Left Behind? Granted, the discussions are rambling; we've been using your paper as a kind of jump-off place. But perhaps you'd have something to add about the various ways we are springing off from what you started?
I love the article, by the way. Actually, I am rather amazed to see it in print... Positively daring! Makes people think. My hat's off to you!

This article you wrote is especially thought-provoking to me:
"

Thinking Big: A Conceptual Framework for the Study of Everything

I've used your article "Cover the Material--Or Teach Students to Think" in several informal seminars. (Not getting the link to work on that one.)

Wow--riches...

Marion,
So pleased to have you here! I am enjoying reading about your life history, your thoughts about education.
I very much like the letter to Barack Obama you have posted at your site. Maybe you'd like to post it here on your page?
Howard Gardner believes that education should be individualized, that standards should be pluralistic. Perhaps we should get some of his current talks up here, too.
Anyhow, glad you're joining in! So much to think about, so much to be done.

Hi Marion,
Just spent a very profitable time pondering your materials and philosophy. Thank you so much. Less is more - especially when the less has connections!

G'day Marion,
A warm personal welcome to you, since we've already referenced some of your work! We'll look forward to what you have to interchange here out of your wealth of experience.
