Hi Marsha,
I spent every summer of my life (up until I was a young adult) in the Traverse City area. I've been longing to get up there, but it'll have to wait until next summer.
There are a lot of good things happening in education in Traverse City, such as the Artful Thinking Project. I know there are a good number of educators who come to Project Zero and use the ideas extensively in their work. Are you aware of Traverse City's innovators--do you know examples of good things going on in the area?
Interlochen and Pathfinder are also good schools to keep in our scope, besides the TC Public Schools.
Anyhow, thanks for the note. You're a long-timer up there: lucky! (Or smart...)

PS: You live in one of my favorite places on earth! Have you been there long?
