Profile Information
- Tell about your involvement in education, and your ideals for collegial sharing
- I have had an interest in spirituality in the education beginning with young children for many years. I am currently writing my dissertation on this topic and have been examining a wonderful array of schools where awakening the spirituality in children is a core part of the school's mission. I am reading much on the subject and look forward to offering mainstream public education a collaborative model to consider.
- About Me:
- My dad asserted that I was a teacher all of my life. I grew to actually desire the vocation and I am so blessed for father's intuition. I taught nearly 20 years before I founded a charter school, where spirituality was the core mission of the school. I am a mother of five and a grandmother of three , thus far:) I am speculating that spirituality is key to understanding self and purpose. Without wisdom, our children will flounder needlessly. I am believing that we, as educators, will help bring to our classrooms resources or tools that will heal broken hearts and return broken wings to flight.

I am excited to be part of this network, I am looking forward to sharing and learning at the same time the evolution process of incorporating "spirituality" into the classrooms in our public, private and charter schools. I know that it is happening more and more, and I feel blessed to be part of your network.
This is great for me, I am looking at introducing spiritual literacy into the public schools. We will be doing it in a couple of pilot sites to begin. I love that you connect spirituality with wisdom. I feel that our public schools are lacking in both spirituality and wisdom. I can't wait to learn from you!!
