Thanks for the links you posted in the comment on my wall! Your school looks very interesting, very lively.
I think I mentioned the fantastic science museum you have in your area, the life science museum in Raleigh? What an experience that was to visit: I was enthralled!
Your trip sounds just too cool. Wish I could go with you (and bring my class)!
Hey, my family picks blueberries every summer and puts up enough for the year's pies and muffins in the freezer. It's a summer tradition. Blueberries are so good for you!
My latest jag is trying to hunt down the local beekeepers, to get local raw honey. I'd love to have my class learn more about bees. Wonder if there are bee-studying field trips we could go on. Have you ever done that?
Love your blog for your sixth-grade students! It's great to hear that teaching them is fun.
While theological like mathematical theorem making/reading may be "divinely" cogitative, vegetable gardening was for me, too, more naturally and unassumingly satisfying. As for choosing teaching instead of practicing law, I have no experience and thus no comment.
Thanks for joining our small community of learners. I, for one, look forward to hearing what you have to say about your experience in teaching, especially with those parts which make it fun, and what reflections you have on kids learning and development.
Actually, I have. It's great to have students garden.
And being a teacher is so much like being a gardener; the analogies to me are many. What do you think?
Glad to have you here, Meredith! Join in!
