By the way, if you're into Hot, Flat, and Crowded, how about reading Here Comes Everybody, and True Enough? Reading those three in combination gives an amazing and multiple-sided perspective on what's going on these days. With Global Achievement Gap, of course.
Oh--I forgot--you have a young one! Not so much time for reading, I'd guess. I remember when my kids were young I had to teach myself to read one sentence at a time, hold it in my head between diapering and reading aloud, and playing, and then I'd read another sentence... I think a book took about about a month or more. But you know what's more important, the Be Here Now orientation. Raising kids is part of the Best of Life, wouldn't you say?
That is a darling child in your arms! How are you holding up, balancing being tech coordinator (at what I'd guess would be a hoppin' place) with raising a little one?
Oh yea! Someone who wants to talk about Hot, Flat, and Crowded! Have you read The Global Achievement Gap? Those two complement each other. Let's get lots of discussions going on the ideas, any of the ideas.
Yes, me too: "more than ever into sharing ideas and motivating all teachers and students to seek their potential." True of the network in general.
Welcome!! Join right in on the conversations, start some of your own.
Welcome. Trust you'll find plenty of interest and engagement here. Thanks for your intro. Looks like it wasn't enough to download the free Friedman, I'll have to read it! (You and Connie both have exercised a pincer movement on me.)
