So glad you joined. Really looking forward to hearing your voice on matters of educational importance... Also some news about what you're thinking about in general these days.
There are certainly a lot of things we could discuss about PE and health--and people here would be interested. Isn't it fascinating to see the work coming out of neuroscience these days, the formal studies that verify what we already knew: physical activity is essential to brain-health, physical activity is medicine for learning!
I hope we get to hear your perspective on what's happening at the state level with regard to health matters.
In your state, are you seeing time for PE and recess getting cut down due to people's obsession with test scores? Are you able to convince people that there's good reason to even INCREASE activity--that students who exercise learn better?
