Hello Nellie... Welcome to Our Group. I do look forward to our sharing on this wonderful topic of Wisdom and children. It is funny in that I taught computer science for over 15 years and find that today, I am the most challenged tech person in my home. I miss the wonderful Mac days. My professor is on this network and she is truly the master at Technology integration and curriculum. Please be sure to look her up. Her name is Dr. Elizabeth Haslam. I pray she may be beneficial to your doctoral pursuits. Again, Welcome to Raising Horizons Quest!

Glad to have you here, Nellie. You are a pioneer, escorting in a new sort of learning. Please keep us informed about what you're doing, what you're trying, and the stumbling blocks you help work people over and through.
How are you finding the University of Phoenix experience? Are the instructors there linked together in some way?
You come across loud and clear as a passionate learner... you're certainly among like-spirited people here. Welcome!

Hi Skip,
Thank you for your interest in my work. I share my experiences with e-learning technologies for instruction and learning synchronously via wiziq (virtual classroom) on a regular basis. You may join these sessions and the coming online conference that will be held on experiencing online connections in February (6-8), 2009. For further information you may wish to join Connecting Online (CO09).

I would like to point out that all the sessions and the conference is free of charge because I am trying to promote free e-learning for developing and developed countries.

Warm wishes,
Nellie Deutsch

Welcome, Nellie!
Your (growing) expertise, especially in the use of digital learning technologies, is a wonderful resource for us. Please better inform us about what you've learned as much as you're able given your other commitments.
Thanks for joining this small community of learners!

Tell about your involvement in education, and your ideals for collegial sharing
I have added most of my involvement in education and ideals for collegial sharing to my wikieduator user page.
About Me:
My name is Nellie (Muller) Deutsch. I have been teaching English as a foreign language for over 30 years. I have been integrating technology into the ESL/EFL classroom since the 1990s. I have been involved in international collaborative projects and WebQuests via Moodle for the past 5 years. My first website, Nellie's English Projects was an experiment that evolved from a WebQuest and started me off as a webmistress in the days of html before web 2.0 tools. I facilitate online and face-to-face workshops on how to use Wikieducator as a collaborative tool for instruction and learning and conduct online workshops and conferences. I also moderate live online workshops for Electronic Village Online which is a project of TESOL's CALL Interest Section, storytelling and cultures, and integration of technology and web 2.0 tools into the classroom on WiZiQ.

I am passionate about learning and am currently completing my doctoral studies in educational leadership specializing in curriculum, and instruction online at the University of Phoenix and writing my dissertation. I am researching blended learning and instructor use of technology in higher education. In my spare time, I mentor educators on how to integrate web 2.0 tools for instruction and learning. I would like to see e-learning available and free worldwide.

I am looking forward to collaborating with other educators on the best ways to integrate technological tools in order to facilitate and improve instruction and learning.
