The first thing I'd recommend is checking out a commercial program (and its free resources) called Rationale. It's an attempt to encourage structured thinking through a visual implementation of Toulmin's The Uses of Argument. As opposed to the ins...

Hi Terry, I got your note about the EdNews feed - this happens sometimes, because if a webpage address changes, the feed will not be updated (a feed is just a list of links, and it exists separately from the website it links to). The Chronicle of Higher Education news feed is awful that way; I don't use the EdNews feed as often, so I don't know if this is a frequent problem for them or not.

I searched GoogleNews for "Obama gun control" - perhaps you can find the news article that way - EdNews is re-reporting items from other source so you might find what you are looking for here:

Very glad to have you join the community, Terry. I really enjoyed visited your site, and among other things, seeing the various jobs you've held! In fact, I'll post it here if it's ok with you. It'd be fun for community members to read:

"My jobs have been varied: worm salesman, lumberjack, ditch digger, mechanic, weigh master, gob picker, welder, bulldozer operator, oiler, blaster, security official, farmer, lobbyist, onion shredder, line cook, cashier, dishwasher, delivery driver, bartender, fork lift operator, lab analyst, consultant, industrial engineer, facilitator, corporate trainer, programmer, network designer / installer, systems manager, micro-economist, foreign currency trader, financial analyst, finance director and currently - adjunct instructor of Economics."

And this part, what you're doing now:
"One of my goals is to lead in the use of digital technologies in instruction to improve the effectiveness of the education communities I am connected with..." ---Well, I think you've certainly found yourself in a good place for learning tons more about that.

Welcome! Join in!

You may wish to post some videos right away... Lots of interesting ones at your site. Do you have any you'd like to put up here?
