I'm a High School Visual Arts Teacher in the SF Bay Area-currently on a 1 year leave to Get my Masters at the Arts in Ed program At Harvard Grad School of Ed. I'm very interested in connecting and sharing with colleagues in bot High and Low tech ways.
About Me:
Before entering the world of education I had careers as a free lance illustrator and printmaker. I'm currently employed as a research assistant on the Project zero Schools initiative. My wife Stephanie and 13 y.o. daughter Sophie made the big one year move with me to the Boston area so I could study at Harvard. They're the best!

Hi Todd,
Just so thrilled to have you here on Fireside!
I'd love it if you'd start a forum or blog on your work with the Shelter Project. I've posted links to it twice, once within the Harvard Project Zero group under the resources forum, once in the discussion on grades. You are clearly a leader for our time, providing inspiration and energy for us all.
I think it'd be great if you'd introduce the group as a whole to what you've been able to accomplish with young people.
My recommendation is that you start up a forum on the Shelter Project, providing a short overview and the links, and then invite discussion on the work by asking some questions of the participants here.
Whether you get around to doing that now or later doesn't matter, just so glad to have you here. Please jump in on the conversations going on, and start up some of your own, on any topic at all!
