Hi Maha,
Welcome to the Fireside. I hope you feel welcome, and share your thinking and expertise with us. I've just begun to use geogebra a little - it seems very flexible, and rather more so than Geometers Sketchpad, which our school owns by license. The other site I am intrigued by mathematically, and from a teaching perspective is wolframalpha - which will not only produce solutions of mathematical problems, but will provide a stepwise working of the problem. It may be very useful for the 'almost algebraists' in a mathematics class.
Anyway, what I really started to do was give a welcome.
So, welcome! Nice to meet you.

Maha!!! I just played for a long time with the tangram program, making a cat. Then I made a rabbit. That was WONDERFUL. Did you write the tangram program yourself? Wow: that is so cool! :-)

Maha, I enjoyed visiting your website so much!!! I looked at some of the pictures of your students working hard on the computer - that is really inspiring! Although the subject I teach is English composition (my courses are online at the University of Oklahoma), I often think I would have been very happy to be a math teacher; I still love learning new things about math. I'm looking forward to learning more about your work, especially your use of the wiki and other online technology.

It is exciting to have someone from Egypt here as part of the community. I have friends who are from Syria and a few years ago I went and visited them, traveling to Damascus and all over Syria; I hope I will get to return to that part of the world again! :-)
