hope your trip will be a great success.say ''servus'' to your husband from me. I don't know when he left bavaria but I'm afraid nothing changes much over here. the CSU still rules the state and the educational system doesn't improve much, consequently. where in britain will you go? do you have some kind of partnership with another school? I don't expect you to answer all these questions before your trip as you will have a lot of organizing to do but I'm looking forward to your report when you come back.

Your husband is familiar with HARD WORK if he grew up on a dairy farm. I have a friend who was a dairy farmer, and I couldn't believe what he'd get done in a day. Eventually he gave up the dairy side; now he just grows alfalfa and other field crops (soybeans, corn). Around here the huge dairy farms have taken over the smaller farms. The smaller farms can't compete.
That is AMAZING that you're arranged a field trip to Great Britain. Absolutely amazing. Please let us know about it! Post some pictures, too! Have a wonderful adventure.
So glad you joined our community. So, you teach HS English in Quebec! It'll be great to hear what you're doing.
I teach 4th and 5th grade in Michigan, and live on a farm, as you do,too! That's amazing that you'll have a child taking over the farm. Family farms are not that common these days. How many acres do you have? What do you have on your farm?
There are many avid readers here on Fireside; we'll have some good conversations!
Welcome.
