Here I Am Again

Hi all,

I hope everybody is well.

The title of my post is a double-entendre referring to:

  • My return to Fireside after a hiatus

  • Once again working on a behavioral plan for my son

  • As you may recall, I had written some time ago about some of the challenges we had faced with my son at home, for a brief period, and at pre-school over longer term. As I described in my previous

35 hours and counting

This post's title refers to my classroom experience to date.

I am something of an interloper here in that I have not logged the hours teaching that many of you have. The following paragraphs provide a brief narrative of my first foray into the classroom and my attempts to tackle the at-school behavioral problems of a child, who happens to be my own.

Hello all and Happy New Year,

I posted this question (below) on Linkedin. Or-Tal provided me with a prompt and excellent answer and was also kind enough to invite me to this group. I am happy to be here.

Hi Scott,
That is fascinating--I love the note about how the invitation came to you, my neighbor, all the way from Israel--yes, borderless. I'm fascinated with the power of reflecting upon education (and life) across and through what were previously thought of as Great Divides.
Where are you in Michigan? I live halfway between Manchester and Chelsea, out in the country.
