I have been studying a protected bog wetlands near my home and will mount an exhibit relating to the project along with artist Doris Auxier and sound artist Jeff Warrens in August. My approach is to go into the environment, usually once a week at different times of day, over a six month period. Heart, mind, eyes wide open to what arises, I have been absolutely enchanted each and every time. The newly posted photos are of a filmy dome spider (Neriene.emphana) or (Neriene. radiata) with the early morning light coming through the web. I have learned that the male and female inhabit the same web and that, although stunningly remarkable to me, they are very common. Ah, the ordinary miracle.
